Today in New York: Aaron Fuller

:: Welcome to Nuok, Aaron! Tell us a little about yourself!

My name is Aaron Fuller, I am a 31 year old Photographer originally from Phoenix, AZ. I currently reside in Los Angeles, but I am in New York very often and consider it my home away from home.

:: Where do you get your inspiration from?

I find my inspiration in interesting people and places that I encounter in my travels, I yearn to find new places to shoot and I’m always keeping my eyes and ears open for unique opportunities. I am currently trying to get the funds to do a photo documentary on the islands of Tristan da Cunha. Tristan da Cunha is one of the most remote places in the world, lying in the Atlantic Ocean between South Africa and South America. There are currently 275 people that live there who are thought to have been descended from only 15 ancestors. There is no airport, and it is nearly a week long journey by boat to get there. These are the kind of things that fascinate and that I am most passionate about photographing.

:: Do you have any secret spots in New York?

Well secrets spread quick in New York… a place that I really enjoy is Roberta’s in Bushwick. Great Pizza, bar, and cool urban farm vibe going on. I love to just walk the neighborhoods in New York for hours to see what I might stumble upon.

:: If I say Italy, you say…?

Italy: The New Jersey of Europe. Kidding.
