Brooklyn’s equally beloved and reviled subway line, the train, is being celebrated in one of the more unusual ways to honor a mode of transportation: a pageant.
The City Reliquary, Williamsburg’s collector-friendly museum and civic organization (370 Metropolitan Ave.), is throwing the pageant on November 19 in conjunction with its intriguing photography exhibit “Miss Subways Past and Present” featuring present-day photographs of many previous pageant winners.
Interested candidates must e-mail a 200 word description about what Miss G Train is about and why he or she should be Miss G Train along with a photo by November 16 for consideration.
